- MISSION
- Establish, maintain, sponsor, promote activities, programs, and projects which assist in the education of clinicians and scientists in an international context,
- Foster and promote, in an international context, basic and clinical research into the liver and biliary diseases,
- Collaborate with its continental constituent association members and other healthcare organizations concerned with liver disease, and
- Facilitate progress toward the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the liver and the biliary tract.
- AIMS
- Foster the training of experts in hepatology,
- Encourage basic and clinical research on the liver and its diseases, and
- Facilitate internationally the prevention, recognition, and treatment of diseases of the liver and the biliary tract.
